Industrial Building Coatings for Warehouses and Factories
Industrial units take a hard beating, and over thousands of square metres a small fault spreads fast. We restore the weatherproofing and the look across big roof and cladding areas without the cost and downtime of a strip-and-replace, and every job we quote starts with a free survey.

Sector route
The right coating route depends on how the building is used
Industrial units take a hard beating, and over thousands of square metres a small fault spreads fast. We restore the weatherproofing and the look across big roof and cladding areas without the cost and downtime of a strip-and-replace, and every job we quote starts with a free survey.
- Add years to the building A coating holds off corrosion, weathering and water ingress, heading off the decay that forces costly structural repairs.
- Sharpen the image Refurbishing the exterior presents a well-kept, professional building to clients, visitors and staff.
- Cheaper than replacement A coating restores and protects the building for many years, skipping the expense and disruption of a strip-and-replace.

Coatings matched to how the building is used
We survey the building first, then specify the right system for its exposure, access and use, rather than forcing one generic coating onto every job.
Where coating is not the responsible answer, we say so and point towards repair or replacement.

Profiled metal roofs, single-skin and composite cladding, and large rendered or brick elevations all degrade over time, and on a building covering thousands of square metres even small problems spread fast. We are an exterior coatings contractor working on commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings, and our job is to protect the structure you have rather than sell you a replacement you may not need.
Because we survey before we recommend anything, we can tell you straight whether a coating is the right answer or whether localised repair, or in some cases replacement, would serve you better. The aim is a sound, weather-tight roof or wall, not the most expensive option.
- Roof coatings for profiled metal, asbestos cement and other industrial roof types
- Wall and cladding coatings to refresh and protect large elevations
- On-site cladding spraying for an even, factory-style finish
- Cut-edge corrosion treatment on exposed sheet edges and laps
- Render repairs, brickwork repairs and gutter lining where needed
The buildings and sectors we cover
We coat and refurbish the large structures that keep UK operations running, from single warehouse units to multi-building sites. The right specification depends on the substrate, its condition and how the building is used, which is why we assess each one rather than apply a one-size approach.
- Warehouses and distribution and logistics centres
- Factories, manufacturing plants and production units
- Agricultural barns, sheds and storage buildings
- Retail and trade units, depots and commercial premises
- Older buildings with asbestos cement roofs needing encapsulation
Most owners come to us with one of a few drivers: a leak to stop, corrosion to halt, a landlord or insurer requirement to meet, or simply a tired building to smarten up for customers and staff. The survey settles what is achievable and what it involves.
Our coating and spraying work
Most industrial coating failures we see come down to two things: water getting in through tired roof sheets and laps, and corrosion eating the cut edges of metal cladding. Our work targets both, with systems matched to the substrate so the finish bonds and lasts.
For metal roofs and walls we use roof coatings and wall coatings applied after proper cleaning and prep. Large elevations and profiled sheets are best handled by cladding spraying, which gives a consistent colour across the whole surface. Where the sheet edges have started to rust, cut-edge corrosion treatment seals and protects the steel before it spreads.
- Cleaning, decontamination and prep before any coating goes on
- Rust, corrosion and failed seals treated at the source
- Systems specified for metal, asbestos cement, render or brick
- Even, sprayed colour finishes for cladding and large wall areas
- Gutter lining and minor repairs handled alongside the main works
Coat or replace, and keeping the disruption down
Coating a sound but weathered building is usually quicker and far less disruptive than tearing it off and replacing it, and it skips the waste, scaffolding and downtime a re-roof brings. But coating only works on a structure that is fundamentally sound, so where sheets are perforated, badly corroded or beyond saving we will say so and recommend repair or replacement. We would rather lose a job than coat over a problem.
For occupied sites we plan round your operation. Most exterior coating is carried out from outside, so production, storage and deliveries usually carry on, and we agree access, timings and any phased areas with you before we start. Costs and timescales swing widely with roof area, condition and the system, which is why we quote in writing after the survey rather than guess down the phone. To see the kind of work involved, view our previous projects, and when you are ready we can arrange a free survey.
- Straight coat, repair or replace advice based on what the survey finds
- Work planned to keep your building operational where possible
- Access and timings agreed with you in advance
- A written quote after the survey, no invented figures

Common questions
Industrial Building Coatings for Warehouses and Factories FAQs
How long will a new coating last?
It depends on the system, the building's location and the conditions. A properly specified, properly applied system adds many working years to a roof or wall before it wants attention, though how long turns on the exposure and the state of the surface beneath it.
Is coating cheaper than replacing the cladding?
Yes. Respraying existing cladding is far more cost-effective than full replacement, typically a fraction of the cost, and it causes a great deal less disruption to your operation.
What sort of damage does a coating fix?
Both the cosmetic and the physical: colour fade from UV, chalking and paint delamination, plus treating and holding off the cut edge corrosion and rust on metal that, left alone, leads to leaks and failed cladding sheets.
Can you coat the roof while production continues below?
Usually, yes. Most industrial roof coating is carried out from above with the building in use. The survey flags anything that genuinely needs internal access or a controlled shutdown, and the programme is built around shifts, deliveries and site inductions.
What about cut edge corrosion on our sheet roof?
It is treated as part of the prep, not an optional extra. Edges and laps are cleaned back, treated and sealed before any coating goes on, because coating over live corrosion just hides it until it comes back through.
Do you handle large warehouse and distribution roofs?
Yes. Large, simple roofs suit coating systems well and are among the most efficient to prep and coat. The constraints are usually access, edge protection and weather windows, all assessed at survey before we commit to a programme.
